Robb to partner Puha at BetVictor World Cup of Darts

Ben Robb (PDC)

Ben Robb will partner Haupai Puha for New Zealand at next month's BetVictor World Cup of Darts, after finishing above Kayden Milne on the DPNZ rankings.

The 35-year-old will make his fourth World Cup appearance in Frankfurt alongside 2019 quarter-finalist Puha, who became the first New Zealander to win a PDC Tour Card at Qualifying School in January.

Robb - a four-time World Championship qualifier - saw his qualification confirmed in dramatic fashion last weekend, following an action-packed DPNZ Pro Tour double-header.

John Hurring and Jordan Whyte shared titles as Events 5-6 took place in Nelson, with former World Series star Milne featuring in both finals.

Hurring averaged 97 to dispatch Robb in the Event Five semi-finals, before clinching his second Pro Tour title of 2024 with an impressive 7-4 success against Milne.

Jordan Whyte then celebrated his maiden DPNZ Pro Tour title in Sunday's Event Six showpiece, reeling off three straight legs from 5-4 down to deny Milne a World Cup debut.

Milne finished level on 144 points with Robb on the DPNZ World Cup of Darts rankings - which comprised the last six DPNZ events of 2023 and the first six events of 2024.

However, Robb's haul of three titles compared to Milne's two was enough to book his World Cup return ahead of the annual pairs event, which will take place from June 27-30 at the Eissporthalle.

The next DPNZ Pro Tour weekend will take place on May 11-12 in Hamilton, before the World Series of Darts Play-Offs are held in Auckland on July 6-7.
