PDC Order of Merit update following 2024 European Darts Grand Prix

Gary Anderson (Jonas Hunold/PDC Europe)

Gary Anderson is closing in on a return to the world's top 20 following his NEO.bet European Darts Grand Prix triumph on Sunday.

Anderson returned to winning ways on the big stage in Sindelfingen, defeating Ross Smith 8-6 to clinch his second European Tour title - over a decade on from his maiden success in February 2014.

The two-time World Champion also saw off Christian Perez, Gerwyn Price, Josh Rock and reigning champion Rob Cross on his way to glory at the Glaspalast, before denying Smith to scoop the £30,000 top prize.

Anderson's second ranking title of 2024 saw him rise three places to 21st on the PDC Order of Merit, at the expense of James Wade and German duo Martin Schindler and Gabriel Clemens.

Ross Smith moved above Joe Cullen to 15th after featuring in his maiden European Tour final, while Chris Dobey climbed to a career-high of 13th, despite his second-round defeat to Jonny Clayton in Sindelfingen.

The PDC Order of Merit comprises prize money won over a two-year period by players in PDC ranking events - click here to view the full PDC Order of Merit.

The PDC Order of Merit will next be open to change this weekend, as the NEO.bet Austrian Darts Open (ET5) takes place in Graz from April 26-28 - watch live on PDCTV.
