First Rileys Qualifiers Known

THE first 26 Rileys Qualifiers for the PDC Unicorn Under-21 World Championship have won their places in the Last 64.

The inaugural event will see the finalists compete on stage during the Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship in January at Alexandra Palace for the title.

The Last 64 will play off down to the final on Saturday November 6 at the Barnsley Metrodome, with the top eight ranked PDPA members joined by International Qualifiers and Rileys Qualifiers.

The first weekend of the Rileys Qualifiers has seen 23 players book their place in Barnsley, including top youngsters Leon Bailey and David Pallett, while one of the two Sunderland winners, Michael Wood, is the son of PDC official Gary Wood, one of the on-stage scorers at major championships.

Chester also provided two qualifiers as a result of being one of the six Rileys clubs with the most entries.

Harry Miles, the winner of the Norwich knockout, has previous experience on the full PDC circuit and will compete for a spot in the final - which includes a £10,000 first prize and a PDC ProTour Card for 2011.

The remaining Rileys Qualifiers will be held on Saturday October 23, with Cardiff, London (Victoria), Oxford and Wolverhampton each providing two qualifiers.

Meanwhile, Canadian Bryce Book is the North American Qualifier who will travel across the Atlantic for the event.
