JOHN WEBER and Damon Heta secured the final two places in the TAB.com.au Sydney Darts Masters field at the Warilla Bowls Club on Tuesday.
Weber (pictured, above left) won the second tournament of the DPA Australian Grand Prix double-header with a 6-1 victory over New Zealand's Rob Szabo.
With Weber having also reached the quarter-finals of Monday's AGP event, he earned enough ranking points to jump above Clinton Bridge in the Order of Merit and join Loz Ryder, Shane Tichowitsch and David Platt in qualifying to play in the TAB.com.au Sydney Darts Masters this weekend.
Justin Miles - who competed in last week's TABtouch Perth Darts Masters - and Ray O'Donnell were the losing semi-finalists, while Tichowitsch was joined in the last eight by Warren Parry, Brian Roach and Harvey Mayall.
Meanwhile, Perth's Damon Heta (pictured, above right) won the last place in the Sydney Darts Masters by coming through the DPA Qualifier in Warilla, edging out Gordon Mathers 5-4 in a tight final.
Miles was joined in reaching the semi-finals by New Zealand's Craig Pullen, while Szabo progressed to the quarter-finals alongside Jamie Rundle, Robbie King and top Australian women's player Lavinia Hogg.
The DPA's series of events at the Warilla Bowls Club concluded on Tuesday night with a Test Match between Australia and New Zealand, who won 11-9 in a series of Singles and Doubles contests between four-player teams.
The draw for the TAB.com.au Sydney Darts Masters will be made on Wednesday in Sydney, with the final list of Oceanic Qualifiers being:
