Cash Converters Extend PDC Deal

CASH CONVERTERS AGREE TWO-YEAR EXTENSION FOR PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS

CASH CONVERTERS, the UK's number one retailer of pre-owned goods and financial services provider, has agreed a deal with the Professional Darts Corporation to renew their sponsorship of the Cash Converters Players Championship Finals for a further two years and committed to remain as an official partner of the PDC for the next two years.

Following a successful weekend at the Butlins Minehead Resort for the Cash Converters Players Championship with Gary Anderson crowned 2014 Champion, the deal ensures Cash Converters continue their relationship with the PDC, and will see them become the longest-standing sponsor in darts, having previously been a sponsor of the World Cup of Darts.

The terms of the deal, brokered by Sports Marketing Consultants SportQuake, include Cash Converters branding at all events on the darts calendar, integration across digital and social media and offering fans the chance to win tickets and meet the stars of the PDC.

Richard Livesey, the Head of Marketing for Cash Converters in the UK, said of the deal: "We are delighted to announce the sponsorship of the 2015 and 2016 Cash Converters Players Championship Finals.

"This weekend has become a focal point in the darts calendar as the final tournament of the year before the World Championship. Each and every year darts fans flock to Minehead and have a superb weekend and we feel privileged to be a part of it.

"The sponsorship deal will see Cash Converters continue to be a massive part of the darts family and grow the brand in the UK and internationally."

Barry Hearn, the chairman of the PDC, added: "We are delighted to have Cash Converters as our Players Championship sponsor for a further two years.

"They have been an integral part of the growth of darts with us over the last five years and the Players Championship Finals is a great event at Butlins."

The Cash Converters Players Championship Finals is shown live on ITV4 and involves 32 of the top players in the world, including 16-time World Champion Phil Taylor and reigning World Champion Michael van Gerwen.
