Darts' biggest tournament kicks off at Alexandra Palace in London on December 18, with 20 sessions of play across 14 days seeing the 72 players battling for glory, with £1.25 million and the Sid Waddell Trophy up for grabs.

The £1 million tournament sees 72 players competing for the £250,000 first prize and the coveted Sid Waddell Trophy, which will be awarded on January 4.

GETTING THERE
The William Hill World Darts Championship is held at:
Alexandra Palace, Alexandra Palace Way, London, N22 7AY
By Tube: Wood Green is the nearest London Underground Station on the Piccadilly Line. Exit Wood Green station and go to Bus Stop A to pick up the W3 bus to Alexandra Palace.
By Rail: Alexandra Palace has its own British Rail station, Alexandra Palace Station. It is located at the Wood Green entrance to Alexandra Palace Park, and is serviced by a regular train service from Moorgate (weekdays only) or from Kings Cross, changing at Finsbury Park. Take the W3 bus from outside Alexandra Palace Station up the hill to Alexandra Palace.
By Car: Alexandra Palace has 1,500 unreserved parking spaces located at the venue.

Preliminary Round - Best of seven legs
First Round - Best of five sets
Second Round - Best of seven sets
Third Round - Best of seven sets
Quarter-Finals - Best of nine sets
Semi-Finals - Best of 11 sets
Final - Best of 13 sets
All sets are the best of five legs. For all matches using the Sets format, there will be a tie-break in the deciding set only, where the final set must be won by two clear legs. Should the score in the final set reach 5-5, a sudden-death leg would be played.
