ADRIAN LEWIS created another slice of PDC history as he landed a nine-darter in the William Hill World Darts Championship against Raymond van Barneveld on Tuesday.
The Stoke superstar had landed a perfect leg in the 2011 final against Gary Anderson as he went on to claim his first World Championship title.
He repeated that feat in stunning style on Tuesday with a nine-darter in the opening set of his third round clash with van Barneveld.
The pair were locked at two legs apiece in the first set when Lewis - with the advantage of throw - opened the deciding leg with two 180s.
He then stepped up to coolly slot home a seventh treble 20, treble 19 and the double 12 to complete the 141 finish as he secured his second nine-darter on the Alexandra Palace stage.
The achievement was the eighth nine-darter in the PDC World Championship's history, with van Barneveld having hit the first two, in 2009 and 2010, before Dean Winstanley, Michael van Gerwen, Terry Jenkins and Kyle Anderson also completed the feat.
Lewis' nine-darter will earn him a £10,000 bonus, which would be shared should another player match his perfect leg in the remainder of the event.
The nine-darter also means that Haven House Children's Hospice - the official charity of the PDC - and Parkinson's UK, who are supported by Sky Sports presenter Dave Clark, will receive a £9,000 donation each from tournament sponsors William Hill.
William Hill will also donate a further £9,000 to each charity for any further nine-dart legs which are achieved during the remaining five days of the event.
Lewis' nine-darter was his third of 2014, following two in Players Championship events, and his third on television, while it was the 19th in a PDC event during the 2014 calendar year.
