Royal Approval With Prince Harry Visit!

THE William Hill World Darts Championship received Royal approval on Monday night with a visit from Prince Harry to Alexandra Palace.

Prince Harry, the fourth in line to the throne, made his second visit to the World Championship as he followed up his previous night at the darts - for the 2011 semi-finals - by taking in the action on Monday.

He saw Stephen Bunting knock out James Wade in the event's final second round game before then watching reigning champion Michael van Gerwen and Scotland's Robert Thornton enjoy third round wins over Terry Jenkins and Benito van de Pas.

Prince Harry also received a signed 180 card from Michael van Gerwen following the Dutchman's win, and gave the reigning champion a thumbs-up sign as he marched into the last eight.
