The Final Countdown - Stats Preview

THE battle to be crowned as the William Hill World Darts Champion concludes on Sunday night as Phil Taylor and Gary Anderson do battle at London's Alexandra Palace.

Taylor is bidding to win an amazing 17th World Championship title of his glittering career, having secured his spot in the decider with a 6-2 semi-final victory over Raymond van Barneveld.

Scottish hero Anderson, meanwhile, is seeking to become World Champion for a first time, having lost out to Adrian Lewis in his previous World Championship final four years ago.

Anderson is also bidding to win a second successive major title, after taking victory in the Cash Converters Players Championship Finals five weeks ago, and has won his last 17 matches in competition since November 23.

With the exception of Anderson's first round win over Scott Kirchner, both players have recorded ton-plus averages in all of their other games throughout this event in their runs to the decider, which will be shown live on the Sky Sports Darts channel from 8pm.

Here's a look at some of the key stats....
