DIGITAL media expert Oliver Slipper has joined the Professional Darts Corporation's Board of Directors.

Slipper has extensive experience within online and digital media and has previously worked with the PDC in the provision of the PDC website and streaming services.

The 41-year-old is the former Chief Executive Officer of Premium TV and - following their amalgamation with Inform Group in 2007 - was subsequently the Joint CEO and a Director with Perform Group until 2015.

A graduate from Manchester University at a BA Hons in Classical Studies, Oliver has also worked with Accenture advising on digital strategy and is a former cricketer with Surrey.

"I'm hugely excited to be joining an organisation which I've had a long history of working with in the past and always enjoyed working alongside," said Slipper, who becomes a non-executive director with immediate effect.

"Darts has an exciting future as one of the fastest growing sports in the world and I'm looking forward to helping the PDC navigate through the ever-changing media landscape in the coming years."

Slipper joins a Board of Directors headed by PDC Chairman Barry Hearn and Chief Executive Matthew Porter and also featuring Rod Harrington, Marcus Robertson, Edward Lowy, Bob Scott and Eddie Hearn.

"Oliver brings a great deal of expertise in the digital media field and will be an important addition to the PDC Board of Directors," said Barry Hearn.

"He has gained huge experience across the industry in recent years and with digital media becoming an increasingly important area for our organisation will play a key role in shaping our ongoing growth."
