John Henderson will partner Peter Wright at the 2021 Cazoo World Cup of Darts, following Gary Anderson's withdrawal.
2019 World Cup winner Anderson informed the PDC late last week that he was no longer available for the event.
Subsequently, Henderson steps into the Scotland line-up as the next highest ranked Scottish player on the PDC Order of Merit.
Henderson will represent his country at a second successive World Cup, having teamed up with Robert Thornton at the 2020 event, while World Matchplay champion Wright returns to the Scottish team.
The PDC have been working with competing nations to ensure as many originally qualified players as possible are able to compete in Germany despite ongoing global restrictions.
The full field for the event is expected to be confirmed early next week.
The annual 32-nation tournament will be held from September 9-12 at the Sparkassen-Arena in Jena, Germany.
