THERE will be 348 players competing for just four places in the SkyBet World Grand Prix at next Sunday's All-Ireland Qualifiers in Dundalk.
Four Irish players - from either Eire or Northern Ireland - will compete alongside 28 other PDC stars at the Citywest Hotel, Saggart, from 23-29 October in the 2006 World Grand Prix.
The All-Ireland Play-Offs has more players than ever before from Northern Ireland and are taking place at the Fairways Hotel in Dundalk on 17 September, with a noon start.
Three of last year's qualifiers - quarter-finalist John MaGowan, Tom Kirby and Keith Rooney - will be seeded for the All-Ireland Qualifiers.
The eight seeds will also include 2006 Ladbrokes.com World Darts Championship qualifier Geoff Wylie and Mick McGowan, who reached the second round at the 2006 PartyPoker.net Las Vegas Desert Classic.
