Kim Huybrechts

KIM is one of the new faces gracing the Betway Premier League stage in 2015, as he becomes the first Belgian to compete in the event.

Nicknamed The Hurricane, he has enjoyed a whirlwind four years since joining the PDC circuit in 2011 - with runs to the quarter-finals of his first two major televised events at the European Championship and World Championship showing his talents.

He was also a semi-finalist at the 2012 European Championship before winning through to the decider at the Players Championship Finals, losing out to Phil Taylor in Minehead.

Huybrechts also kicked off 2013 by winning through to a televised final, as he emotionally partnered elder brother Ronny for Belgium in the World Cup of Darts pairs event - although it would be Taylor, and Adrian Lewis, who denied them the title.

He also won his only three ranking titles during 2013, firstly at a UK Open Qualifier before following a Players Championship success with European Tour glory at the Dutch Darts Masters as he broke into the world's top 16.

His progress continued during 2014 as the Belgian - who became a father during the year - landed his first televised nine-dart finish during a famous win over Michael van Gerwen in the Grand Slam of Darts, as he won through to the semi-finals in Wolverhampton.

A player who is heading his country's rise as a darting force, Huybrechts is on course to become the first Belgian to claim a major PDC title.
