The TAB.com.au Sydney Darts Masters market was turned on its head after Thursday's opening round of matches at the Hordern Pavilion.
Current world number one Michael van Gerwen was sensationally knocked out by Kiwi Warren Parry, who came back from 5-1 down for a 6-5 victory.
Van Gerwen was priced at $1.03 to win his opening round match, but it was the $11 outsider in Parry that progressed to the quarter-finals.
The other upset of the night saw Australia's Kyle Anderson (a $10 chance) defeat five-time World Champion Raymond van Barneveld ($1.08).
He will now face off against another Aussie, 'The Wizard' Simon Whitlock, in the last eight.
