PDC President Barry Hearn OBE is to support the Future Youth Zone's community Crowdfunder on November 6-7 by match funding donations to the charity.
Future Youth Zone is based in the Becontree, Barking and Dagenham area of London where Hearn grew up, with the charity providing a purpose-built facility for young people in the region.
Hearn is a patron of Future Youth Zone and supports the charity through the Matchroom Sport Charitable Foundation, and is backing their 36-hour crowdfunder on November 6-7, pledging to match fund up to £50,000 of donations.
The match funding will be used towards giving young people within the London OnSide Youth Zones in Barking & Dagenham a hot meal during the winter period.
"Barry has been a fantastic support to Future Youth Zone, and an inspiration to local young people that through hard work they can achieve anything," said Future Youth Zone CEO Gavin Evans.
