THE 2016 PDC Qualifying School will see 400 hopefuls bidding to win PDC Tour Cards from January 13-16 at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan.
The four-day Qualifying School allows ANY darts player the opportunity to challenge for a full-time spot on the PDC ProTour, with £10 million in prize money set to be available this year in PDC tournaments.
Each day of Qualifying School will see the last four players win an automatic Tour Card, with ranking points allocated to other players based on finishing positions.
Following the completion of the four days, further Tour Cards are awarded based on finishing positions in the Qualifying School Order of Merit.
The field of 400 entries includes former World Championship finalists Peter Manley, Mark Dudbridge and Kirk Shepherd and former UK Open runners-up Mark Walsh, Barrie Bates and Colin Osborne.
Former World Youth Champions James Hubbard and Arron Monk are also amongst the field, while former World Matchplay winner Peter Evison is joined by former ranking event winners Dennis Smith and Steve Brown, who have dropped out of the world's top 64.
International stars competing include America's David Fatum, Australia's Rob Modra and Japan's Yuki Yamada, who took part in the inaugural Japan Darts Masters last June where he met World Champion Gary Anderson.
Recent World Championship competitors John Michael, Per Laursen, Mick McGowan, Sven Groen, Warrick Scheffer and Thanawat Gaweenuntawong are in action, while 2015 Grand Slam of Darts qualifiers Mark Oosterhuis and Michel van der Horst join the contingent of Dutch competitors.
Play on each day will commence at 12pm, with registration from 9am-11am. All games will be the best of nine legs, with the open draw featuring no seeds.

Last 128 defeat: One point
Last 64 defeat: Two point
Last 32 defeat: Three points
Last 16 defeat: Five points
Last eight defeat: Nine points
