With one week to go to the start of the 2019 Grand Slam of Darts, we take a look back at five of the greatest moments witnessed in Wolverhampton.
The 2019 Grand Slam of Darts will take place from November 9-17 at Wolverhampton's Aldersley Leisure Village - tickets available through ticketmaster.co.uk and SeeTickets.
The tournament will be broadcast live on Sky Sports in the UK, on PDCTV-HD for Rest of the World Subscribers and through the PDC's worldwide broadcast partners including DAZN and RTL7.
5. Waites' sensational comeback (2010)
Scott Waites produced one of the most memorable comebacks ever seen on a PDC stage in the 2010 final against James Wade.
At 8-0 down, Waites looked down and out to a rampant Wade before incredibly turning the match on its head.
Waites won 16 of the next 20 legs to win 16-12 and become the first, and so far only member of the BDO to win the tournament.
4. Van Gerwen's first title (2015)
Heading into the 2015 event, Michael Van Gerwen was missing just the Grand Slam trophy from his impressive collection of televised PDC ranking titles.
Since narrowly missing out to Raymond van Barneveld in the 2012 final, Van Gerwen suffered a last 16 loss to Lewis in 2013 and a quarter-final defeat to Kim Huybrechts in 2014.
The Dutchman finally went all the way in 2015, edging out six-time champion Phil Taylor 16-13 in a nail-biting final, going on to reclaim the title in 2016 and 2017.
3. Chizzy's nine-darter (2015)
Dave Chisnall landed his first, and so far only televised nine-dart finish against Peter Wright in the 2015 group stage.
Chisnall produced his trademark power scoring in a 5-2 win over Wright, ending the match with a 109.84 average.
However, that was as good as it got for Chisnall in 2015 as he went out to Michael Smith at the last 16 stage.
2. Nine-dart Huybrechts beats MvG (2014)
Kim Huybrechts produced the performance of his career to beat Van Gerwen 16-10 in the 2014 quarter-finals, landing a nine-darter on his way to a famous victory.
It was the Belgian's first, and so far only perfect leg in front of the TV cameras in a sensational display which saw him average 104.83.
Along with Huybrechts and Chisnall, the only other players to achieve perfection on the Wolverhampton stage are James Wade in 2008 and Dimitri Van den Bergh in 2018.
1. Barney back in business (2012)
After lifting four televised titles in his first two years in the PDC, Raymond van Barneveld had endured a five-year wait for his fifth individual title.
The Dutchman's unexpected trophy drought came to an end in 2012 as he beat Van Gerwen 16-14 in an epic final, ending with a huge release of emotion from Van Barneveld after hitting the winning dart.
Speaking after the match, a tearful Van Barneveld said: "It's amazing, I'm really emotional and it's hard to find the words to describe this feeling."
