PAUL NICHOLSON proved a huge hit when he visited the Stockport College Darts Academy recently.
Nicholson followed in the footsteps of many other top PDC stars, including World Champion Adrian Lewis, Simon Whitlock, Terry Jenkins, Colin Lloyd & Jelle Klaasen, by spending time with students at the Academy of Sport.
As well as offering coaching tips and advice to young players, Nicholson competed against several students and enjoyed a question & answer session at the College.
Nicholson's popularity amongst the students also saw them mimic his walk-on at televised events by donning sunglasses to be pictured alongside the former Players Championship Finals winner.
"Paul was brilliant and it was wonderful to have him spend the afternoon with our students," said Lee Cambray, Stockport College's Academy of Sport Manager.
"It was a fantastic experience for the Academy players to play against Paul and also get the chance to ask one of the top professionals questions.
"He also donated a signed board to the player he felt was the best on the day, which was a memorable prize and a great gift."
