THE limit of 256 entries for the William Hill Grand Slam of Darts Wildcard Qualifier has now been reached for the event, which will be held on Friday November 4 at the K2 Centre in Crawley.
The Wildcard Qualifier, which has been open to all darts player to enter, will see two players win a place in next month's William Hill Grand Slam of Darts at the Wolverhampton Civic Hall - giving them the chance to take on the biggest names in darts live on Sky Sports.
Previous Wildcard Qualifiers for the Grand Slam of Darts include Kevin McDine - who went on to reach the semi-finals of the inaugural Grand Slam of Darts in 2007.
Wes Newton, John Henderson, Justin Pipe and Mark Hylton have all starred on the PDC circuit this year since their 2010 qualification, while Chris Mason, Colin McGarry, Alan Tabern and Steve Maish are other previous qualifiers.
Newton's run to the Speedy Hire UK Open final in June means that he has qualified by right this year, while Pipe is in line to qualify as the highest-ranked non-qualifier in the Players Championship Order of Merit following two tournament wins recently.
However, McDine, Henderson, Hylton, Mason, Tabern and Maish will be amongst the 256-player field to compete in Crawley next weekend for one of the two coveted spots.
Former World Champions Dennis Priestley, Richie Burnett, Andy Fordham and Jelle Klaasen will be in action, alongside former World Matchplay winner Peter Evison and two-time World Grand Prix finalist Shayne Burgess.
The field also includes dozens of amateur stars looking to enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime experience of qualifying to play in the Grand Slam of Darts.
* Please note - in the event that a player who has already qualified for the William Hill Grand Slam of Darts reaches the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship final earlier on November 4, a third-place play-off will be held to determine a third Wildcard Qualifier.
All competing players have been emailed a Players' Brief of information to the email address registered to their account.
Play will commence at 6pm and players must register between 3.30pm and 5pm at the venue. No access will be possible before 3.30pm, and all competing players will be allowed two non-transferable guest passes.
All games are the best of seven legs, with play being down to both a final, with a winner (Qualifer One) and runner-up (Qualifier Two) as well as a third-place play-off to determine reserves.
Tickets for the Grand Slam of Darts, to be held from November 12-20, are now on general sale from the Wolves Civic Box Office, either in person or by calling 0870 320 7000.
