Austrian Quartet Win ET1 Spots

MENSUR SULJOVIC and Dietmar Burger are amongst the four Home Nation Qualifiers for the European Tour Event 1 in Austria later this month.

Austrian number one Suljovic was one of the four players to win through the qualifying event specifically for home players held in Eisenstadt.

He was joined by two-time World Championship qualifier Dietmar Burger, Martin Kurecka and Zoran Lerchbacher.

Christian Kallinger, Pero Ljubic, Christian Goedl and Wolfgang Eidl all lost in the 'quarter-final' matches to miss out on a place in the inaugural European Tour event.

The four qualifiers will be joined by eight players from the European Qualifier to be held in Cologne on Saturday April 7 and a further 20 players who will win through the UK Qualifier on Friday April 13 in Barnsley.

The 32 Qualifiers will be drawn against the world's top 32 for the first round of the European Tour event, with games split across two stages on Friday April 27 at the Arena Nova in Wiener Neustadt.

The second round onwards will be played on one stage on Saturday and Sunday in Austria, with the eventual champion taking home £15,000.

Spectator tickets are still available via www.pdc-europe.net.
