THE 2012 Speedy Services UK Open will be held from June 7-10 in the Premier Suite, De Vere Whites in Bolton, and will feature a mixture of both professional stars and amateur qualifiers competing for the prestigious title.
Professional players compete in a series of eight qualifiers, with the leading 96 players (plus ties) from the UK Open Order of Merit progressing to compete in Bolton.
They are joined by a series of amateur qualifiers who will win their places in Bolton through the Speedy Qualifiers and Rileys Qualifiers, which are being staged around the UK.
The Speedy Qualifiers have seen 24 players win their UK Open places in six public qualifying events held in Speedy Stores in Brighton, Dartford, Inverness, Leeds, Stoke and Cardiff, with the final eight spots going to Speedy staff in an employees-only event being held on May 4 in Haydock.
The Rileys Qualifiers are knockout events being staged in Rileys Darts Zones around the UK throughout April and May, with each of 32 venues providing one winner who will compete in the UK Open.
