PHIL TAYLOR and Adrian Lewis have withdrawn from the inaugural European Tour event in Austria this weekend.
The duo had been set to compete in Wiener Neustadt in the £80,000-plus tournament which begins on Friday afternoon.
However, after competing in the McCoy's Premier League Darts on Thursday in Liverpool, the pair pulled out of competing in Austria through illness.
Their intended first round opponents, Gaz Cousins and James Richardson, will both now receive byes through to the second round on Saturday.
Mervyn King's game with Michael van Gerwen has been moved to the main stage in the evening session.
Although Taylor and Lewis did not travel to Austria, their six Premier League rivals did board Friday morning's specially chartered Eastern Airways jet to Vienna.
Reigning Premier League champion Gary Anderson opens up Friday's evening session in Austria against Scott Rand, before Simon Whitlock plays Mareno Michels and James Wade meets Prakash Jiwa.
Andy Hamilton then plays Roland Scholten before Raymond van Barneveld meets Arron Monk and Kevin Painter plays Johnny Haines.
Friday night's other game on the main stage will see Justin Pipe play Austria's Mensur Suljovic, who is hoping to delight his home crowd against the rising star from Somerset.
Play in Friday's first round is split across two stages, before the second round onwards on Saturday and Sunday is played solely on the main stage.
