PHIL TAYLOR has withdrawn from the German Darts Masters European Tour event for family reasons.
The world number one, who won the German Darts Championship event in Berlin in June, had been due to face Andy Jenkins in the first round of the £82,100 event at the Glaspalast in Sindelfingen, Stuttgart on Friday.
However, following the premature birth of his grandchild last week, Taylor has withdrawn from the fourth European Tour event.
As such, his first round opponent, Jenkins, now receives a Bye.
Steve Beaton will also receive a first round Bye in the German Darts Masters, with Jelle Klaasen now not competing in Stuttgart.
