PHIL TAYLOR will begin his bid to win a fifth Speedy Services against Coventry's Kevin Dowling on Thursday June 6, while fellow former champions James Wade and Roland Scholten will also be in action on the opening night next month.
World Champion Taylor will enter 'The FA Cup of Darts' at the second round stage after failing to finish inside the top 32 of the UK Open Order of Merit following the eight Qualifiers which have been held this spring, and has drawn experienced qualifier Kevin Dowling for their opener.
Two-time UK Open champion Wade will begin his challenge for a Bolton hat-trick in the preliminary round against Speedy Qualifier Robbie Green, a former World Masters finalist.
Roland Scholten, the 2004 champion, has drawn Conan Whitehead - another of the 32 amateurs in action in Bolton - for their first round contest, while former finalists Vincent van der Voort and Colin Osborne enter in the preliminary round against Andy Murray and Steve Hine respectively.
World number ten Justin Pipe plays Welshman Gareth Pass in the first round, while two-time World Champion Ted Hankey will face either Michael Musto or Bernd Roith.
The second round games feature a tasty clash between young stars Ricky Evans and Joe Cullen, as well as the prospect of brothers Tony and Steve West clashing for a place in Friday's third round draw.
The players ranked from 1-32 in the UK Open Order of Merit - including reigning UK Open champion Robert Thornton and five-time Qualifier winner Michael van Gerwen - will enter at the third round stage on Friday June 7.
The preliminary & first rounds feature the players ranked 65-96 (plus ties) in the UK Open Order of Merit and the Speedy Amateur Qualifiers, with the second round featuring the players ranked 33-64 from the UK Open Order of Merit and 32 first round winners.
