JOHN BROWN took victory in the latest Junior Darts Corporation Modus UK Tour event, held at the Rileys Worcester club.
Bristol's Brown, the son of PDC professional Steve Brown, following up his previous JDC victory in 2015 with another triumph as he came through the 45-player field.
The youngster defeated Cheshire's Ross Gilder 5-2 in the final, sharing the opening four legs before claiming three in a row for the title which secures his chance to play at Alexandra Palace in the JDC's Grand Final later this year.
The event was the first under a new sponsorship for the JDC with Modus Darts, with the next tournament being the Junior European Championship from September 16-18 at Pontins Brean Sands.
"We are delighted with the turn out for this event," said JDC Director Darren Barson. "With such great opportunities on offer for juniors at the moment, it's never been a better time to pick up a set of darts."
