JDC Double For Table-Topper Cole

Jarred Cole (JDC)

JARRED COLE has topped the final 2017 JDC Modus UK Tour rankings after taking victories in the final two events.

Cole follwed up his previous win in Event Two and two other appearances in finals by doing the double in November's events in Wolverhampton and Coventry.

In Event Five, Cole dropped only one leg in wins over Mark Lloyd and Ryan Locker before edging out Levy Frauenfelder in the quarter-finals, before seeing off Wessel Nijman 4-1 in the semi-finals and Ross Gilder 5-2 in the final.

The Event Six final proved to be a closer affair as he came from 3-0 down before winning 5-4 against Keelan Kay, who was bidding to add to his Event Three victory.

Cole will headline the field in next weekend's final JDC events at the Action Indoor Sports Centre in Bristol, with Saturday featuring the JDC European Open ahead of Sunday's early rounds of the WDS Associates Junior World Championship.

The final of the Junior World Championship will then be held on stage at Alexandra Palace during the William Hill World Darts Championship.
