BIRTHDAY boy James Wade was one of seven stars who secured double qualification success for the European Darts Grand Prix and Dutch Darts Masters in Barnsley on Friday.
Joining Wade in the double success at the UK Qualifiers were Kyle Anderson, nine-dart star Stephen Bunting, Adrian Lewis, Ricky Evans, Jamie Lewis and Steve Lennon.
Former Premier League champion Wade, who turned 35 on Friday, kicked off his qualification for the European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen with victory over former Lakeside Champion Mark Webster 6-3.
He then followed this by beating 2005 World Championship finalist Mark Dudbridge to qualify.
In Qualifier Six, Wade saw off Jamie Caven 6-4, before a comfortable 6-3 win over Aden Kirk.
Bunting landed a nine-dart leg on his way to a double qualification on a memorable night for the St Helens ace.
Beating Scott Taylor and Ryan Joyce to qualify in the first event, he then overcame Raymond van Barneveld before his moment of perfection came in a 6-0 whitewash of Lee Evans to secure his place in Zwolle.
It was a welcome double success for two-time World Champion Lewis as he looks to regain his best form.
He started by beating Mick McGowan 6-3, before claiming a last-leg deciding victory over Aden Kirk to qualify for Sindelfingen.
In the night's second qualifier he followed a similar pattern by beating Brendan Dolan 6-3, followed by a 6-5 win against Peter Jacques.
Irish ace Lennon was made to work hard for his ET5 qualification as he came through last-leg deciders against Josh Payne and Terry Jenkins.
He made it look at lot easier in sealing his Dutch Darts Masters spot by whitewashing Gary Eastwood before beating Joe Murnan.
Young Canadian Dawson Murschell qualified for the first European Tour event of his career at the European Darts Grand Prix, whilst veteran star Jenkins will be back on the European Tour stage in Zwolle.
