RAY O'DONNELL and Barry Gardner secured qualification for next month's World Series of Darts events in Melbourne and Brisbane respectively.
O'Donnell, who has performed well on the DPA Australian ProTour this year making two semi-finals and five quarter-finals, will be making his television debut at the Melbourne event.
The Broken Hill thrower overcame New Zealand's former World Championship star Koha Kokiri in the final of yesterday's qualifying event.
The Brisbane spectacle will see another new face on television as Gardner also defeated Kokiri in the final of the second qualifying event of the day.
Gardner has also performed well on the DPA Australian ProTour this year and was recently crowned champion of the Perth Premier League of Darts.
The remaining places in each of the Melbourne Darts Masters and Brisbane Darts Masters will be confirmed later today with two more double-header qualifiers in Warilla.
