GARY ANDERSON began his bid for a third world title with a 3-1 win over Kevin Burness in the second round of the 2018/19 William Hill World Darts Championship.
Two-time World Champion Anderson edged the opening set 3-2, before Irish Matchplay Champion Burness hit straight back to level it up at 1-1.
Anderson found himself scrambling for doubles at times in the third set, but found double five with his last dart to take the third 3-0.
The world number four wasted no time in clinching the last set to set up a meeting with either Jermaine Wattimena or Michael Barnard in the third round.
