GERMANY'S Gabriel Clemens enjoyed a dream Alexandra Palace debut as he ran out a 3-0 winner against Aden Kirk.
Clemens, who has had a strong first year on the PDC circuit, found himself chasing doubles around the board but kept his cool to find double two with his last dart to take the opening set 3-0.
Another last dart in hand finish saw him break throw once again and, after Kirk got his first leg on the board, Clemens wrapped up the set to double his lead.
Kirk fought on, taking the third set to a deciding leg, but the PDPA Qualifier missed three darts at double for the set and Clemens punished to book his place in round two where he will face John Henderson.
