LUKE HUMPHRIES took less than 20 minutes to defeat Adam Hunt 3-0 in the first round of the 2018/19 William Hill World Darts Championship.
The opening leg went the way of Hunt, before two 180s and a 121 finish saw Humphries wrap up set one.
Humphries, who suffered defeat to Jeff Smith on his Alexandra Palace debut last year, produced 15 and 13 dart legs to double his lead, before showing great composure in the third to make sure of the win.
A winner of eight Development Tour titles, Humphries will now look to continue his development in the second round as he takes on in-form Stephen Bunting.
