DIMITRI VAN DEN BERGH booked his place in the second round of the 2018/19 William Hill World Darts Championship with a 3-0 win over Chuck Puleo.
Van den Bergh, who lost to eventual champion Rob Cross at the quarter-final stage last year, punished American Puleo's misses to take the opening set 3-0.
The back-to-back World Youth Champion pressed home the advantage, doubling his lead by taking the second set 3-1.
Puleo took the third set to a deciding leg and, after the American missed two darts to take the set, Van den Bergh wrapped up the win to set up a second round clash with Jonny Clayton.
