The return of full crowds to PDC events at the Betfred World Matchplay has been given huge backing from fans who attended the Winter Gardens event last month.
Following the success of crowds initially returning to PDC events in the Unibet Premier League during May, the Betfred World Matchplay saw a full capacity for seven of its nine days.
Over 15,000 fans attended the Betfred World Matchplay, which was won by Peter Wright, and a subsequent satisfaction survey of ticket buyers has seen overwhelmingly positive feedback.
Of the fans surveyed, over 97% enjoyed the experience of attending the event, also felt that they were sufficiently informed prior to the event of the safety measures in place at the Winter Gardens.
A further 96% of fans felt that the event organisers were able to keep spectators safe, while over 92% of fans felt safe attending the event.
Overall, almost 92% of fans in the survey scored the event as 8/10 or higher following their experience in Blackpool.
The figures supported the positive response from fans who attended the Unibet Premier League's final five days in May, and come ahead of a busy autumn of PDC televised events.
Tickets for the William Hill World Darts Championship enjoyed huge sales after being released in late July, while tickets are proving popular for October's BoyleSports World Grand Prix in Leicester and packages for November's Ladbrokes Players Championship Finals have now sold out.
In addition, tickets for the Cazoo Grand Slam of Darts are on sale from Monday August 16 ahead of November's event in Wolverhampton.
The PDC's return to Europe has also seen tickets proving popular for September's Cazoo World Cup of Darts in Jena, the Nordic Darts Masters in Copenhagen and Hungarian Darts Trophy in Budapest.
Tickets will go on general sale on Monday August 16 for the Jack's World Series of Darts Finals, which will be held from October 29-31 in Amsterdam.
