Toyo Tires has announced that it is keeping its firm grip on darts by continuing as an official partner of the PDC for another three years.
The deal will commence at the forthcoming William Hill World Darts Championship after a successful tie-up since 2018.
Darts continues to boom and ironically during Toyo Tires’ partnership, a former tyre fitter by trade Peter Wright became World Champion.
The sport is bigger than ever as a televisual spectacle through the PDC's £15million of prize money on its global circuit and Toyo Tires looks set to capitalise on this global audience, spearheading a sponsorship campaign that will see them reach an unprecedented number of viewers around the world.
The Toyo Tires logo will be worn by all 96 players at the forthcoming World Championship, to be held over the festive period in London, and Toyo will also have further strategic brand placement throughout the PDC season.
Toyo and the PDC have also delivered a terrific range of digital activations around major tournaments which has been a huge hit with fans.
Partnering with the PDC looks to be a shrewd move, as the global TV audience for the many tournaments that are set to take place throughout 2022 in over a dozen events where Toyo Tires will enjoy a presence is truly breath-taking at an estimated 40 million viewers.
In the UK alone, this figure is expected to exceed 7.3 million viewers, eclipsing many other televised sports, while over 500,000 fans will attend PDC events worldwide during 2022.
Professional stars are now competing for huge prize money pots, and there's no doubt that Toyo's investment will net significant brand recognition and TV coverage to boot.
PDC chief executive Matt Porter said: "It is a huge boost that Toyo Tires have continued with the PDC as a valued partner.
"It has been such a successful relationship and Toyo will remain with us as the sport is set for another boom after our announcement of an increase to £15million for the prize money in 2022.
"Darts is also expanding across the globe which is perfect for a brand such as Toyo and we look forward to another terrific three years ahead."
