PDC Fantasy Darts & PDC Predictor returns for 2024 Betfred World Matchplay

Fantasy Darts

PDC Fantasy Darts and PDC Predictor returns for the 2024 Betfred World Matchplay, giving fans another opportunity to get involved in this year's tournament in Blackpool.

Popular amongst fans at the World Championship and Premier League, PDC Fantasy Darts returns as the official fantasy game of the World Matchplay, which takes place from July 13-21 at the iconic Winter Gardens.

This year's game will see fans pick a starting squad of six players, as the sport's biggest names battle it out for the coveted Phil Taylor Trophy at the Empress Ballroom.

You will be invited to select three 'favourites' for the title, two 'outsiders' and one 'long shot', so you will need to be shrewd with your selections and pick players you believe will get through multiple rounds.

You will have three transfers available throughout the tournament, and you must also choose a captain and vice captain to boost your score.

The overall PDC Fantasy Darts champion will receive the Ultimate Darts Experience - which includes a darts lesson with a PDC star - along with a signed shirt from this year's World Matchplay winner.

Further prizes also include two tickets to the 2025 World Matchplay, and a signed Luke Littler shirt, as the teenage sensation makes his highly-anticipated Blackpool bow this year.

In addition to the existing general leagues, you can also create your own private leagues, allowing you to compete with friends and prove who has the best darting knowledge!

Transfers can only be made from one player to another in that category. Eg: You can only replace a long shot with another long shot, or a favourite with another favourite.

If all players from that category have been eliminated from the tournament, then the squad size will be reduced for the final stages of the tournament.

The transfer windows will be open after the completion of the first round on Monday July 15, and following the conclusion of the second round on Wednesday July 17. You will have three transfers available throughout the whole competition.

These transfer windows will also give you the opportunity to change your captain and vice captain.

The PDC Predictor also return for this summer's darting showpiece, with entries now open ahead of Saturday's opening night!

All you have to do is predict the result of every game from this year's Betfred World Matchplay, while also deciding which player will hit the most 180s and the highest checkout in each match.

You will earn one point for correctly picking the outcome of each market, with a signed World Matchplay programme on offer to the winner of each session.

NB: If there are multiple winners on each night, then a random prize draw will take place to determine who wins the prize.

PDC Predictor explained:

  • For each match, pick a player to come out on top in the following categories: Match Winner, Most 180s and Highest Checkout.
  • You will earn 1 point for correctly picking the outcome of each market in each match.
