Luke Littler has been shortlisted for the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award, after taking the darting world by storm over the last 12 months.
The teenage sensation created global headlines at last year's World Darts Championship, winning six consecutive matches on debut to become the youngest finalist in the tournament's rich history.
The Warrington wonderkid - who also celebrated World Youth Championship glory last November - has continued his meteoric rise in 2024, winning ten PDC titles in his first year on the professional circuit.
The 17-year-old was crowned Premier League champion in May, landing a spectacular nine-dart finish in an epic final against World Champion Luke Humphries, where he ran out an 11-7 winner.
Littler also stormed to victory in September's World Series of Darts Finals, before clinching his first televised ranking title at last month's Grand Slam of Darts.
His incredible trophy haul also includes a brace of World Series successes in Bahrain and Poland, European Tour victories in Wieze and Graz, as well as a hat-trick of Players Championship titles.
Littler is only the fourth player in PDC history to claim ten or more titles in a calendar year, following in the footsteps of Phil Taylor, Michael van Gerwen and Peter Wright.
He has also landed four nine-dart finishes throughout the year, equalling the record previously set by 2021 World Champion Gerwyn Price two years ago.
Littler has been shortlisted for the award alongside Skateboarder Sky Brown and Para-swimmer William Ellard, after an initial ten nominations were narrowed down to a top three.
"It's been an amazing year and to be in the running for Young Sports Personality of the Year tops it off," reflected Littler, the current world number four.
"If I have brought more fans to darts, then that's all that matters to me."
The winner will be announced live on the BBC Sports Personality of the Year show on Tuesday December 17.
