THE 2016 PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour will kick off on March 19-20 with the first of four double-header weekends being staged at Wigan's Robin Park Tennis Centre.
A total of £160,000 in prize money and two PDC Tour Cards for 2017-18 are on offer in this year's Challenge Tour.
Each weekend sees two £10,000 tournaments played on each day on Saturday and Sunday, with four weekends to be held throughout the year as non-Tour Card Holders compete.
The top two players from the final 2016 PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour Order of Merit will receive a two-year PDC Tour Card.
Entry to PDC Unicorn Challenge Tour events is open to players who played at the 2016 Qualifying School but did not win a Tour Card, players who played in the 2016 PDC World Championship but do not hold a Tour Card or PDPA Members with "Challenge Tour Only" Membership.
Entry costs £50 per tournament, with entries closing at 2pm on the Friday immediately prior to each weekend. Entries can be made via the PDC Online Entry System .

Events 1-4 - March 19-20, Robin Park Tennis Centre, Wigan
Events 5-8 - May 28-29, Robin Park Tennis Centre, Wigan
Events 9-12 - June 25-26, Ricoh Arena, Coventry
Events 13-16 - September 10-11, Robin Park Tennis Centre, Wigan
Each day's play will take place as follows:
8.30am - Doors Open
8.30am-10am - Registration for the day's first event
11am - The day's first event commences
1.30pm - Registration closes for the day's second event
Play in the day's second event will commence as soon as possible following the conclusion of the day's first event.
All games are the best of nine legs.
