DPA Treble For New Star Cadby

NEW sensation Corey Cadby enjoyed an amazing treble of wins on the second weekend of the DPA Australian Grand Prix as he took all three titles in Victoria.

Cadby enjoyed one victory on his debut weekeend on the Harrows Australian Grand Prix circuit last month, sharing the wins in New South Wales with David Platt and Gordon Mathers.

The 20-year-old overcame Platt 6-2 to take victory Friday's opening event, having won through his group unbeaten before seeing off Robbie King and Loz Ryder on his way to the final.

Saturday's second event saw him again top his group before picking up knockout stage wins over Aaron Brown, Justin Hedges, Gordon Mathers and Aaron Petty before coming from 5-2 down in the final against Tyson Hoefel to win 6-5.

The youngster then completed a memorable weekend treble by winning Sunday's third event, overcoming Ryder 6-2 in the final after also seeing off Scott Kennedy, Harley Kemp, Platt and Clinton Bridge in the latter stages.

The victories moved Cadby onto 100 ranking points on the Australian Grand Prix Order of Merit, 39 ahead of second-placed Platt, with Ryder in third place, Hoefel in fourth and Mathers ranked fifth.

The next Australian Grand Prix weekend will be a double-header on March 19-20 at the Australian Anglo-Indian Club in Padbury, Perth. For further details, visit www.dartplayersaustralia.com.
