How can I play in PDC darts events?

The growth of the Professional Darts Corporation circuit means that there are greater opportunities than ever for players.

Qualifying School / PDC ProTour / Challenge Tour
Players can win a Tour Card to compete on the elite PDC ProTour each year at Qualifying School, which will be held in January at the Robin Park Tennis Centre in Wigan.

Qualifying School is open to ANY player aged 16 or above, with approximately 32 Tour Cards on offer. Full details about Qualifying School are available at www.pdpa.co.uk.

Players who win a PDC Tour Card are eligible to enter all Players Championship events (limited to 128 players), as well as the UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events.

Players who do not win a PDC Tour Card become PDPA Associate Members, allowing them to enter UK Open Qualifiers and European Tour events as well as compete in Players Championship events in Q School Order of Merit order should the 128 Tour Card Holders not enter.

PDPA Associate Members also have their own Challenge Tour series of events, with 16 £10,000 tournaments being held across four double-header weekends. PDPA Associate Membership for Challenge Tour events only is available via www.pdpa.co.uk. The leading two players from the final Challenge Tour Order of Merit will win a two-year PDC Tour Card.

PDC Unicorn Development Tour - Youth Players Aged 16-23
The PDC Unicorn Development Tour allows ANY player aged from 16-23 to compete in a series of events throughout the year.

Tournaments are played with two per day across weekends, with five weekends seeing 19 events taking place during 2016.

Each event is worth £10,000 in prize money, with the leading two players from the Development Tour Order of Merit winning a PDC Tour Card, with qualification for the PDC Unicorn World Youth Championship also based on prize money won in Development Tour events.

UK Open Amateur Qualifiers
The Coral UK Open Televised Finals feature a series of Amateur Qualifiers competing alongside professional stars. These are usually held in January or February and allow any player who is not a PDPA Member to compete.
