Latest World Championship Stats, Odds & Fixtures

FOLLOWING the conclusion of the William Hill World Darts Championship's preliminary and first round, the tournament now enjoys a two-day Christmas break.

Play will resume at Alexandra Palace on December 26, with the first three games from the second round to take place on Boxing Day from 6pm.

Fans attending the Boxing Day session are asked to view the important travel information at this link.

The second and third rounds will be played between Christmas and New Year across five days, with no play taking place on New Year's Eve.

The last eight players then return to Alexandra Palace on New Year's Day for the quarter-finals, with the semi-finals on Saturday January 2 and the final on Sunday January 3.

Fans were treated to one maximum 170 checkout during the preliminary and first rounds, as Austria's Rowby-John Rodriguez achieved the feat during his defeat to Dave Chisnall.

Phil Taylor powered in a 167 checkout, while the trio of Steve Beaton, Ronny Huybrechts and Adrian Lewis all achieved a 164 finish in the first round.

Jelle Klaasen posted the first ton-plus average of this year's event so far in the final first round fixture, as he defeated Joe Cullen with a 102.54 average.

Gary Anderson, Adrian Lewis, Mensur Suljovic and Dave Chisnall all topped 99 averages, while Ricky Evans and Dean Winstanley both produced the heaviest scoring with nine 180s apiece during their first round games.

Following the opening stages before Christmas, sponsors William Hill make Michael van Gerwen their 6/5 favourite to win the title on January 3, with Phil Taylor the 7/2 second favourite.

Reigning champion Gary Anderson is 11/2 to retain the Sid Waddell Trophy, while Adrian Lewis is a 12/1 chance to complete a World Championship treble and the duo of James Wade and Peter Wright are 14/1 for their first victories in the event.
