Q School Entry Deadline Exended

THE deadline for entries to the PDC ProTour Q School has been extended to 12pm on Tuesday January 11.

With 2011 seeing the introduction of the PDC ProTour Card system, a minimum of 20 players will win their ProTour Cards after four days of competition in Wigan between January 13-16.

The PDC will be offering 39 £35,000 tournaments from Barnsley to Benidorm and Crawley to Canada and if you want to step up to the oche with Phil Taylor, James Wade and the rest of the PDC professionals, this is the only way to earn your place in the draw!

A four-day Qualifying School will be held in Wigan from January 13-16 and is open to ALL darts players with the ambition to be a professional player.

Notes:
- the four semi-finalists from each of the four days play will earn a two year Tour Card for the PDC's professional circuit with the remaining players coming from a ranking list comprised of points won during the Q School.
- The Q School is open to all players over the age of 16, male or female, regardless of where they played their darts in 2010 or previously.
- All tournaments will be best of 11 501 from start to finish and begin at 12pm on each day at the Robin Park Tennis Centre, Wigan.
- Players who win a Tour Card must pay an additional £200 to upgrade to being full members of the PDPA.
- The PDC plans to stage 31 Players Championship and 8 UK Open qualifiers in 2011, each offering £6,000 to the winner.
