PHIL TAYLOR won the 2006 Bavaria World Darts Trophy with a 7-2 win over Martin Adams in Utrecht.
Taylor followed up his win in the Stan James World Matchplay six weeks ago with another imperious display to take the 45,000 Euro first prize.
Taylor won the opening set without reply, and could have moved 2-0 but missed the bullseye for a 127 finish before Adams levelled by winning the set 3-2.
The third set went to Taylor 3-0, before he stepped in with a 105 finish to edge the fourth after Adams this time missed, on double 16.
Taylor held his throw in style once more in the fifth set to move 4-1 up before Adams took the next in a decider.
Once more Taylor won 3-0 with the throw to move to within one set of the match before taking the next to secure victory on double eight.
