STUDENTS will be able to gain half-price admission to the opening night of the Players Championship Finals at the Doncaster Dome on Thursday February 3.
The £250,000 Players Championship Finals tournament will be played over four days at The Dome, beginning with the first round spread across evening sessions on February 3 and 4.
The Professional Darts Corporation, who organise the event, have announced that NUS Card Holders will be eligible to purchase half-price tickets for the opening night on Thursday February 3.
The games include Yorkshire's two-time World Champion Dennis Priestley up against Andy 'The Hammer' Hamilton, World Championship finalist Gary Anderson playing Justin Pipe and Colin Lloyd facing Jelle Klaasen.
Derby's Colin Osborne opens up the event against Denis Ovens before Hamilton and Priestley clash, with Mark Walsh playing emerging star Steve Farmer and another Derby ace, Jamie Caven, meeting Wales' Barrie Bates.
Blackpool's Ronnie Baxter plays Andy Smith and Wolverhampton's Wayne Jones takes on Kevin Painter before Anderson's game with Pipe and Lloyd's clash with Klaasen complete the night's action.
Any students wishing to take up the offer can purchase tickets, priced at £10, in person at the Doncaster Dome Box Office by producing their NUS Card when buying, or by calling 01302 370 777 (NUS Card would need to be presented when collecting tickets).
