JDC Virtual launches to provide online platform

PDC (PDC)

The Junior Darts Corporation have launched their new JDC Virtual system, allowing players of all ages to compete in a newly-created online competition.

The JDC have created the online virtual exercise for junior and amateur players worldwide to participate in as a response to the current global situation.

The scheme follows on from the success of the JDC's worldwide Academies, which provide a structured environment for young players to learn how to play darts and improve their games.

Players competing in JDC Virtual will be able to track their scores online, with a planned Virtual Amateur World Darts Championship also planned to be held in Gibraltar later this year alongside the JDC's annual festival of darts.

"JDC Virtual is based on the successful JDC Academy scoring model and it's exciting for us to be able to launch this scheme worldwide at such a unique time," said JDC Chairman Steve Brown.

"JDC Virtual will allow all the family to participate, either for fun against each other or with the greater aim of comparing their scores against fellow players worldwide and with the possibility of qualifying for the Virtual Amateur World Darts Championship.

"Darts is one of the few sports at the moment which people can actively participate on, and we hope that JDC Virtual will give a platform for players of all abilities - from beginners to potential World Champions!"
