Kate Monaghan, Robert Sutherland Jr and Paul Hannaway claimed victories on the Winter Gardens stage in the 2024 WDDA World Matchplay finals in Blackpool last week.
The diversity of darts as a sport was showcased once again in Blackpool, as the World Disability Darts Association hosted their World Matchplay finals on the iconic Winter Gardens stage for a third consecutive year.
Monaghan marked her big stage debut by claiming Monday's Ladies title with a 2-0 victory over Lauren Sutherland - who was competing alongside her partner Rab and son Robert at the Empress Ballroom.
Teenage star Sutherland Jr then secured the WDDA World Matchplay Classic title on Wednesday, running out a convincing 2-0 winner against Tony Rimmer, as he avenged his defeat to Garry Bennett in last year's showpiece.
Meanwhile, in Friday's WDDA World Matchplay Compris Final, current Compris World Champion Paul Hannaway overturned an early deficit to deny Rab Sutherland Jr in a deciding-leg contest.
Sutherland - a runner-up in 2022 and 2023 - drew first blood with an impressive 16-dart leg, before Hannaway followed up a 19-dart leveller by landing a 180 on his way to a comeback win.
