The 2024 PDC ProTour season will draw to a close with a Players Championship double-header at the Mattioli Arena on October 30-31, as a 128 player-field - comprised of PDC Tour Card Holders and PDPA Associate Members - compete for the £15,000 top prize in each event.
Following the conclusion of Players Championship 30, the top 64 players on the Players Championship Order of Merit will qualify for next month's showpiece, which takes place at Butlin's Minehead Resort from November 22-24.
Chris Dobey boasts a £7,500 lead at the top of the Order of Merit following a hat-trick of Players Championship wins this year, with Stephen Bunting - a five-time runner-up in 2024 - occupying second spot.
Damon Heta and Dave Chisnall are sat in third and fourth respectively following a brace of wins in 2024, while Ryan Searle, Luke Littler, Gary Anderson and Danny Noppert make up a star-studded top eight.
Welsh number one Jonny Clayton and former European Champion Ross Smith complete the top ten, with Wessel Nijman, Daryl Gurney, Raymond van Barneveld and Josh Rock all in close contention.
Michael van Gerwen and Luke Humphries are currently 15th and 16th on the Order of Merit, although neither player will feature in Leicester, as they focus their sights on the upcoming Grand Slam of Darts.
World number eight Nathan Aspinall provisionally occupies the 64th and final qualification place heading into this week's double-header, as he bids to secure a return to Minehead following his absence last year.
However, there are a host of high-profile names in danger of missing out on next month's event, with Jose de Sousa, Steve Beaton, Ricardo Pietreczko, Vincent van der Voort and Simon Whitlock all currently outside the top 64.
