Gotthardt & Bellmont latest International Qualifiers for Ally Pally

Kai Gotthardt (PDC)

Kai Gotthardt and Stefan Bellmont will make their Paddy Power World Darts Championship debuts next month, after winning through their respective qualifiers during the last fortnight.

Gotthardt will make his Alexandra Palace bow after claiming his maiden HYLO PDC Europe Super League title in Hildesheim earlier this month.

The 29-year-old won through deciding-leg tussles against Max Hopp, Franz Roetzsch and Dominik Gruellich on his way to victory, before clinching the title with an 8-7 success against Paul Krohne.

Gotthardt, who has featured on the PDC ProTour in 2024, will now join his compatriots Martin Schindler, Gabriel Clemens, Ricardo Pietreczko and Florian Hempel in the sport’s flagship event.

Bellmont, meanwhile, will become the first Swiss player to compete at the World Darts Championship after progressing through a 92-player field in Saturday’s West Europe Qualifier.

The 35-year-old won seven consecutive matches in Kalkar to confirm his qualification, converting a brilliant 124 finish to defeat Jimmy van Schie 7-6 in a high-quality final, having trailed 5-2 at one stage.

Bellmont also overcame Moreno Blom, Patrick Link, Bert De Lange, Timothy Verbrugghe, Jurjen van der Velde and Berry van Peer to emerge victorious on a bumper day of action.

Five further International Qualifiers will be confirmed within the next week, with the East Europe Qualifier taking place in Slovakia on Sunday November 24.

The winner of Sunday’s Winmau World Youth Championship final will also earn a place at Alexandra Palace, as Gian van Veen and Van der Velde lock horns at Butlin’s Minehead Resort.

The PDPA Tour Card Holder Qualifier will then be held in Wigan on Monday November 25, where a minimum of three qualification places will be up for grabs.
