Luke Littler was crowned as the 2024 BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year on Tuesday night as he also finished as runner-up in the main BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards.
The teenager's incredible rise has seen him take the sport by storm since reaching the World Darts Championship final on debut 12 months ago.
Littler won the Premier League, World Series of Darts Finals and Grand Slam of Darts during ten tournament wins during 2024, while his impact in raising darts' profile was also recognised at the BBC's annual awards showpiece.
Littler was presented with the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year trophy by Harry Aikines-Aryeetey - a former sprinter who won the award in 2005 - and ex-rugby union player Jodie Ounsley, both of whom are stars of the BBC television show Gladiators.
Skateboarder Sky Brown, 16, and Para-swimmer William Ellard, 18, were also shortlisted for the award.
Littler was the runner-up to Olympic 800-metre gold medallist Keely Hodgkinson in the BBC Sports Personality of the Year award voting.
"It's a huge honour for me to win Young Sports Personality of the Year and finish second for Sports Personality," said Littler.
"The support this year has been amazing and I want to say thank you to everyone who voted and sent messages."
Darts legend and 16-time World Champion Phil Taylor, who was also the runner-up in the, wrote on X: "Huge congratulations...massive achievement bud."
