McCoy's Premier League Darts Stat Attack

WITH six games having been played so far in the McCoy's Premier League Darts season, we take a statistical look at the performances so far.

Raymond van Barneveld heads the Premier League table following six weeks, and he has been the heaviest scorer so far with 160 ton-plus scores - although Phil Taylor's average of 99.37 is marginally ahead of the Dutchman's 99.12.

Michael van Gerwen has hit the most 180s so far with 24, which is two more than van Barneveld and Robert Thornton - with 179 maximums in total being hit so far across the six weeks.

Van Barneveld has also been the strongest player against the throw with 17 breaks of throw, ahead of Phil Taylor and Simon Whitlock, who have broken throw 14 times apiece so far, while Adrian Lewis is the only player not yet to hit double figures in that category.

Lewis and Wes Newton currently occupy the bottom two positions, with two players set to be relegated following week nine in Brighton, with the pair having the lowest two averages so far and having hit the least number of ton-plus scores.

James Wade is the only player so far to have hit a 170 checkout, with Andy Hamilton's 152 the second-highest hit so far this season.
