ROBERT THORNTON has withdrawn from the Dutch Darts Masters through illness.
The Scot, June's Speedy Services UK Open champion, has been sidelined with a chest infection and will not travel to Nuland for the £82,100 event.
As a result, his scheduled first round opponent Ian White will now receive a Bye to the Second Round, with Colin Lloyd versus Scott Rand moving to be played on the Main Stage on Friday afternoon.
The revised First Round schedule of play is below.
Thornton is expected to recover in time to compete in next Tuesday's Group Seven of Championship League Darts.
The Dutch Darts Masters will be held at the Van Der Valk Nuland from October 26-28. Spectator tickets are still available via www.pdc-europe.net or in person at the Van Der Valk Hotel.
